9th Anniversary of Orthphoto

Today we are celebrating the 9th Anniversary of Orthphoto. It is our tradition to present some statistical data and a summary of the last year, on the anniversary day. We also like to share some ideas and plans for the future.

Last year we were a little bit less active than usually and did not begin any big project. We continued to show exhibition Monasticism in more locations and, as new projects: we organized an exhibition about Serbia (presented in Poland), and we helped in printing an album about Russia. Now we are involved in a contest about Easter in Orthodox East and an exhibition about church bell ringing. We are happy to see that the news about Orthphoto exhibitions are more and more present in local media and that our site is more and more known and appreciated. In this way more people find out about our wesite and join us in our wish for spreading beauty of Orthodoxy.

Our activity is also reflected in the number of our users – last year we did not have big increase in number of visits and number of uploaded photos. This was also because for some months we need to do some changes and improvements to the website, so for a while it was not in service.
Now we have around 1000 visits per day, last year we had over 130 000 unique visitors, on our site we have over 65000 photos and 4500 registered users. More statistics is available on our forum.
But more important than statistics is what we have ahead of us! From tomorrow we enter the tenth year of Orthphoto, so we are celebrating 10th anniversary! We want to invite you right now to help us in preparations.

Orthphoto relies on you, your photos and your activity. Therefore, we want to ask you about ideas for our big anniversary. What do you think we should do to celebrate our feast? You can share your ideas by writing to us: info@orthphoto.net or on our forum. Remember, you are the one who creates OrthPhoto!

Once again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your presence and your activity!
