Today I went to show some friends this cross on the tree. Unfortunately two weeks ago the fire department did a fire hazard reduction burn off through this area and this tree with this miracle story was now completely burned down. I managed to pull the cross out from the burnt brush. The Cross had not burned. I took it back to the skete. I am glad to have posted these photo's on orthphoto as a memory. I may have not taken the photo's except for the fact that I wanted to post them here. Anna McKay-Author

Sorry, I added those photos backwards and I'm not sure how to delete the comments boxes to do them again. Anyway, you get the idea when you look closely at the pictures which comment refers to which photo. If some people out there can give a brief explaination to others in Greek/Serbian and/or Russian for those who don't speak english I would appreciate it.
