It is one of my favorites simply because I was so honored to be on a short trip with the sisterhood to visit the Yosemite Valley. A true privilege. The picture is dark because it was dark under the surrounding forest.

Thank you, perovict for the advice. I seem to love horizontal shots and my wife is always telling me the same as you, shoot verticle. If I had, you would be able to see the beautiful canyon walls of Yosemite.

the nature is beautiful - maybe this photo would be even better if you shot it in portrait, not landscape position - so that the trees and the sky coul be seen more...

Hello Lekovici, if the nuns weren't so dark, I wouldn't be able to post the picture. The Gerondissa doesn't want pictures of the nuns publicized. This one is okay only because of the lack of monastic detail. Personally, I like the contrast against the beauty of the river.
