A mother from the Romanian Orthodox Christianity in her toiling spiritual hard , receives news that her “modern” daughter who had gone to Italy to work was now pregnant and she wanted to abort the pregnancy because she is not married and she does not trust the father of the baby. After several months of heated discussions, tears and praying at many churches by her mother who has been trying to convince her daughter against the abortion, she goes to the Holy City of Jerusalem and in the Holy Land of Israel. Once again she tearfully prayed on the holy places for her daughter to not lose her soul because of her youthful sins and to not have the abortion – an increasingly risky procedure and more and more trying for the conscience as the baby grows in the mother’s womb. In the middle of one night during her pilgrimage The Saint Fanourios comes to her in a dream and tells her to not worry because her daughter will not have the abortion and that the infant will have life but she must give him the name … The following day her mother calls her daughter to see how she is. The daughter says that she felt ill the day before, she went the hospital in the town where she works and gave birth to a premature baby, however the infant is being given medical attention and is unsure if the child will survive. However the believer mother baggs her daughter to urgently request a priest to come to the hospital for baptize and by sprinkling of holy water to name the baby … and she confessed her the dream the night before and she urged her to trust God . With the help of The Great God and of The Saint Fanourios, for sure the infant was baptized by an Orthodox priest and was given the name requested by the saint and now he smiles happily in his mother’s embrace. This wonder didn’t happen 2000 years ago now even 100 years ago, but in the spring of this year proving to us that The Great God and his saints are still willing to guide and help us if we remain faithful to our beliefs and to our prayers till the end of our life long trials.

O mamă din România creştină conştiincioasă în ostenelile ei duhovniceşti, primeşte de la fata ei "modernă" plecată in Italia la muncă, vestea că e însărcinată şi vrea să facă avort pentru că nu e căsătorită şi nu are încredere în tatăl copilului cu care trăieşte. După câteva luni de discuţii contradictorii în care mama încearcă să-şi convingă fata să nu facă întrerupere în care s-a rugat pe la multe biserici şi a vărsat multe lacrimi în rugăciunea personală ajunge cu un grup de pelerini la Locurile Sfinte de la Ierusalim şi din Ţara Sfântă. Aici s-a rugat din nou cu multe lacrimi la Sfintele Locuri pentru fiica ei ca să nu-şi piardă sufletul cu păcatele tinereţii şi să nu facă avort procedeu din ce în ce mai riscant şi mai împovărător sufleteşte odată cu creşterea pruncului în pântecele mamei. În una din nopţile din decursul pelerinajului i se arată Sfântul Fanurie în "vis" şi-i spune să stea liniştită pentru fiica ei pentru că nu va mai face avort, pruncul va trăi dar să-i pună numele ... A doua zi mama îşi sună fiica să vadă ce mai face . Aceasta îi spune că s-a simţit foarte rău şi s-a dus la spital în oraşul unde muncea şi vrând-nevrând a născut prematur iar copilul e acum sub supravegherea medicilor care nu dau multe şanse copilului să trăiască. Mama însă îsi roagă fiica să cheme un preot ortodox să boteze copilul la urgenţă in spital prin stropire şi să-i pună numele ... şi i-a povestit "visul" şi i-a spus să aibă încredere în Dumnezeu. Cu ajutorul lui Dumnezeu şi al Sfântului Fanurie, cu siguranţă, copilul a fost botezat de un preot ortodox primind numele cerut de sfânt, a ieşit cu bine din spital şi azi surâde fericit în braţele mamei . Această minune nu s-a săvârsit acum 2000 de ani nici acum 100 de ani ci în primăvara acestui an arătându-ne că Dumnezeu şi sfinţii Lui sunt gata să ne ajute oricând dacă stăruim în credinţă şi în rugăciune până la sfârşitul încercărilor.
