Jackson celebrates the 125th anniversary of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church
The recently written icon of St. Sebastian of Jackson, a gift from his family in Montenegro, is presented to Sava Serbian Orthodox Church for the celebration of 125 years, with the community and parish in Jackson, Calif.
St. Sava Church is the first Serbian Orthodox Church in the western hemisphere, established 1894 by St. Sebastian, first Orthodox Priest born in America and is the second oldest Orthodox parish in California.
