I like this colour (liver colour as I know). It is very much used at Holy Mountain Athos.

stunning... I like it with that weather front.
Did you know that in Byzantine they used a red colour like this a lot, for the outside tubus of the dome.. 3

For information: this barn is made out of redwood (sequoia) from the nearby big trees of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Largest trees in the world. Inside the barn is a small chapel (on the second floor) dedicated to St Nicholas.

Intriguing picture. Makes you realise that Orthodoxy is much more than magnificent cathedrals, golden domes and services full of imperial splendour.

I like this "Orthodox barn" very much. Interesting light and colours. 2

The barn is reputedly the oldest in California dating back to the middle 1800s and constructed of sequoia wood from the nearby big trees. The property is owned by the Greek Metropolia of San Francisco and is the site for the St Nicolas Ranch and Monastery of the Theotokos of the Living Spring. The ranch needed a chapel before the monastery was constructed, thus, the upstairs chapel in the barn. I will post more pictures.

Very unusual architecture of the chapel.
The clouds over the mountain forest gives any charm to the picture.
Without mark.
