Poate am exagerat cu calificativele mele!:) Nu credeam ca o sa iasa asa. Adica, totusi, un 8 i-as da.Pozei.Iarta-ma, Ionut!
Maybe I have exagerated with my grades ( although, I have the impression that the grades are too high generally on this site! I wonder what would say a professional- photograph or critic-:) ). It is an 8(eight) :). Please forgive me, Ionut! I am glad to see this picture on the Internet! Thank you!

Glad to find it here, also!:) I was impressed when I saw it at Poiana Brasov. Nice architecture. Nice localisation. Impressive!:) It is the St.John the Baptist Skete of the Brancoveanu Monastery (Sambata de Sus) 1

beacuse of their beauty, mihaela... :) the real old spirit of romanian orthodoxy, begining with culture, ending with style, must be showed again, isn't it?

It is interesting that wooden churches in this style are more and more in Bucharest, too :)

Thank you Ika. I have been to Romania twice as a teenager (both times before 1989) and not to the north unfortunately. I'll make sure to visit next time.

Nickos, if you ever visit Romania don't forget to go in Maramures Region (N-W of Romania) and Bucovina Region(N-E)! You'll be impressed, trust me! :) 3

The wooden architecture of Maramures is amazing Serghei! The churches, most dating from the sixteenth century are maintained today exactly as they were built, using the same style and construction techniques that have been used for hundreds of years. No power tools are used!!!
