Consecration of Maglavit Monastery
The 6th International Meeting of the Orthodox Youth ended at Maglavit Monastery, Dolj County, on Sunday 8th September with the consecration of the Church. All the participants could visit the new consecrated altar and then took part at the Holy Liturgy presided by Metropolitan Irineu of Oltenia in front of the church, situated in the middle of an oak forest.
Maglavit Monastery was founded after the visions of the shepherd Petrache Lupu in the late 30s of the 20th century.
